1. Introduction

Welcome to Zaplied. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Zaplied ("the Platform", "we", "us", "our"), including our website at zaplied.com and all services provided through it.

By creating an account or using any part of Zaplied, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

Zaplied is operated by Velocity1 Tech Labs Pvt Ltd, a company registered in India. These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Velocity1 Tech Labs Pvt Ltd.

2. Who Can Use Zaplied

You must be at least 18 years old to use Zaplied. By using the Platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are using Zaplied on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

3. What Zaplied Does

Zaplied is an AI-powered job application platform. Using the information you provide in your profile and the job descriptions you submit, Zaplied generates:

Tailored resumes and cover letters
Outreach messages (email, LinkedIn, WhatsApp)
Interview preparation Q&A
ATS compatibility scores
Job role match scores

All generated content is produced by AI and is based solely on the information you provide. Zaplied does not apply to roles on your behalf, communicate with employers, or guarantee any employment outcome.

4. Your Account

4.1 Registration

You must register for an account to use the core features of Zaplied. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep it up to date.

4.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You must notify us immediately at support@zaplied.com if you suspect any unauthorised access to your account. We are not liable for losses resulting from unauthorised access caused by your failure to protect your credentials.

4.3 One Account Per Person

Each person may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent credit limits, access restrictions, or any other platform rule is prohibited.

5. Credits and Payments

5.1 How Credits Work

Zaplied operates on a credit-based model. One credit entitles you to one full application kit generation — this includes the resume, cover letter, outreach messages, interview Q&A, and match/ATS scores for a single role.

Regenerating individual elements within an existing application does not consume a new credit.

5.2 Free Credit

New users receive one free credit upon account creation. This credit does not expire and requires no payment information to claim.

5.3 Purchasing Credits

Additional credits are available for purchase at the prices displayed on our Pricing page at the time of purchase. Prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5.4 Payment Processing

All payments are processed by Razorpay, our third-party payment processor. By making a payment, you also agree to Razorpay's terms and privacy policy. Zaplied does not store your full payment card details.

5.5 No Subscription

Zaplied does not currently offer subscriptions. Credits are purchased on a one-time basis and do not expire.

5.6 Refund Policy

Credits are non-refundable once purchased, except where required by applicable law. If you experience a technical failure that results in a credit being consumed without any output being generated, contact us at support@zaplied.com within 7 days and we will investigate and, if appropriate, restore the credit.

5.7 Price Changes

We may change our credit prices at any time. Any change will not affect credits you have already purchased.

6. Your Content and Profile Data

6.1 What You Provide

To use Zaplied, you provide us with professional information including your work experience, education, skills, certifications, contact details, and job descriptions you are targeting. This is referred to as "Your Content."

6.2 Your Ownership

You retain full ownership of Your Content. These Terms do not transfer any intellectual property rights in Your Content to us.

6.3 Licence to Us

By providing Your Content, you grant Zaplied a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to process, store, and use Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Platform's services to you — specifically, generating your application materials and improving service quality.

6.4 We Do Not Train AI on Your Data

Zaplied will not use Your Content — including your profile information, job descriptions, or generated outputs — to train, fine-tune, or evaluate any AI model, whether operated by us or by a third party, without your explicit written consent. This is a firm commitment.

6.5 Accuracy of Your Content

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide. Zaplied's AI generates output based on what you supply. Providing false, misleading, or another person's information is your sole responsibility and may constitute fraud in a job application context.

7. Generated Content

7.1 Ownership of Outputs

The application materials generated by Zaplied for you (resumes, cover letters, outreach messages, etc.) are yours. You may use, edit, share, and submit them freely.

7.2 No Guarantee of Accuracy or Outcome

AI-generated content may contain errors, inconsistencies, or content that does not accurately reflect your background. You must review all generated content carefully before using it. Zaplied does not guarantee that generated content will result in interview calls, job offers, or any employment outcome.

7.3 ATS and Match Scores

ATS compatibility scores and role match percentages are indicative estimates based on keyword and requirement analysis. They are not guarantees of how any particular employer's system will score your application. Hiring decisions depend on many factors outside Zaplied's knowledge or control.

7.4 Your Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you submit to employers. Do not submit any generated content that you know to be false, exaggerated, or misleading.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use Zaplied to create fraudulent applications, fabricate employment history, or misrepresent your qualifications to any employer
Use Zaplied for any unlawful purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, copy, or replicate any part of the Platform or its AI systems
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Platform
Share your account credentials with others or use another person's account
Upload content that you do not have the right to share (e.g. another person's resume without their consent)
Harass, abuse, or harm any other user or Zaplied personnel
Attempt to circumvent our security systems or access parts of the Platform you are not authorised to use
Use Zaplied to generate content for someone other than yourself without their explicit knowledge and consent

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Zaplied's IP

The Platform — including its design, code, AI models, prompts, databases, brand name, logo, and all non-user content — is the exclusive intellectual property of Velocity1 Tech Labs Pvt Ltd or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our intellectual property beyond what is needed to use the Platform as intended.

9.2 Feedback

If you submit feedback, suggestions, or ideas about Zaplied, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use that feedback for any purpose without obligation to you.

10. Third-Party Services

Zaplied integrates with or links to third-party services including Supabase (database and auth), Razorpay (payments), and OpenAI (AI generation). Your use of these services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices, content, or reliability of any third-party service.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Zaplied makes no warranties — express or implied — including but not limited to:

Fitness for a particular purpose (e.g. getting a specific job)
Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated outputs
Uninterrupted or error-free availability of the Platform
That the Platform will meet your specific requirements

Zaplied is a tool to assist your job search. Employment outcomes depend on many factors entirely outside our control.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law:

Zaplied's total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Platform shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 3 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or ₹500, whichever is greater.
Zaplied shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, loss of employment opportunity, or damage to reputation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Zaplied, its directors, employees, and agents from any claims, losses, damages, or costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

Your breach of these Terms
Your misuse of the Platform
Content you provide or generate and submit to third parties
Your violation of any applicable law

14. Account Termination

14.1 By You

You may close your account at any time from your account settings. On closure, your profile data and application history will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

14.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or caused harm to other users or the Platform.

14.3 Effect of Termination

On termination, your access to the Platform will end immediately. Unused credits are forfeited on termination for cause. Credits are not refunded on voluntary account closure, except where required by law.

15. Changes to the Platform

We may add, change, or remove features from the Platform at any time. We will endeavour to provide advance notice of significant changes but reserve the right to make changes without notice where required by law or for security reasons.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If a change is material, we will notify you by email or through a prominent in-app notice at least 14 days before it takes effect. Your continued use of Zaplied after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, with the seat of arbitration in Bhopal, India. The language of arbitration shall be English.

Nothing in this clause prevents either party from seeking urgent injunctive relief from a competent court.

18. Miscellaneous

Entire agreement. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Zaplied regarding the Platform.
Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force.
No waiver. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
Assignment. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.
